Gravity
I truly love this strangely wonderful woman but, when she tells me she doesn’t believe in gravity, I have to laugh.
I hug her and try to explain that it’s not a concept but a law of physics.
If you say so, she smiles her gentle smile, but if you can’t fly you’ll need to improvise.
I’m still shaking my head, all chuckles, when she takes my hand and we both float into the air.
In my astonishment I can hardly splutter out my questions as to how this is possible.
Just relax and enjoy the flight, she laughs, laws are made to be broken.

Utterly delightful! I too was smiling at the end. Anything is possible if you believe, right? 😀
Of course, Denise, we are only restricted by our doubts and fears.
Happy you are smiling.
She is like a fairy. A perfect magical tale, and what a wonderful law to be able to break 😊
Ford
Thank you, TAM, that’s what magic is for, isn’t it?
Perfect!
Her name wasn’t Mary Poppins by any chance, was it?
This is a Julie Andrews-free blog, Keith!
That would be wonderful and terrifying at the same time.
Just relax and go with the flow, Mimi!
I like this story, which reminds me of a painting by Marc Chagall, in which a couple is floating in the air.
Ah yes, La Promenade!
Glad you enjoyed.
I would make sure not to let go of her hand.
C’mon, Frank, maybe you can fly too…
total SOL* at your Six this week
*Smiled Out Loud
Glad you enjoyed, Clark
A bit of magic… why not?
My thoughts exactly, Chris.
That’s why we write fiction, isn’t it!
I think it’s a dream. The laws of gravity do not work there.
I don’t do dreams, Bernadette, that would be cheating.
It’s just a wee bit ordinary magic
Really enjoyed this one
Then I am content, sir
You just NEVER know. Sweet tale!
I know nothing, Susan, I just tell the stories!
Even people who say that they ‘know’ are making it up. You’re okay. lol
I really like this story. It is playful and magical. Sometimes in life we need to be able to break the laws of reality just a little.
Laughing.
Why just sometimes, and why just a little!
Glad you enjoyed
Truly magical!
I think I’ll have a smile on my face all day after this delightful wee story.
If only…
Magic is where you find it, Jenne
