A word prompt to get your creativity flowing this weekend. How you use the prompt is up to you. Write a piece of flash fiction, a poem, a chapter for your novel…anything you like. Or take the challenge below – there are no prizes – it’s not a competition but rather a fun writing exercise. If you want to share what you come up with, please leave a link to it in Sammi’s Comment Section

Dial M for Murder
Fed up with your wife?
I want rid of mine, too, but I want to keep my house.
Thing is, she bores me.
And her taste is utterly appalling, she’s just so kitsch.
So let’s do each other a favour.
Get yourself an ironclad alibi, call me, and I’ll bump off your missus.
Then you eliminate mine.
But remember, don’t try to cross me.
I know where you live.
Dear CE,
I’d love to know what his wife thinks of him. Oy. If kitsch were grounds for murder I’d be in big trouble.
Shalom,
Rochelle

Probably best not to know, m’lady, she might think that his taste gets squashed every time he sits down

Kitsch as a motive for murder! Well, why not? I’m sure it’s been done for less. Good one, C.E. By coincidence, we had re-watched this Hitchcock thriller just a few days ago.

This reminded me of the movie, Strangers on a Train, another Hitchcock classic.

Even better if he’s a painter-decorator too, could come in and get rid of the kitsch decor after the exchange is complete :-).
