A word prompt to get your creativity flowing this weekend. How you use the prompt is up to you. Write a piece of flash fiction, a poem, a chapter for your novel…anything you like. Or take the challenge below – there are no prizes – it’s not a competition but rather a fun writing exercise. If you want to share what you come up with, please leave a link to it in Sammi’s Comment Section

The Call
I am drawn inexorably back to the sea.
I love living in the Highlands, rambling freely through the heather-clad glens, breathing the clear mountain air.
Yet I must return to the coast.
To be tempted once more by the siren’s call.
I heard a siren call when I was walking on the beach just now – unfortunately, it was just a police car!

Every seaside has a siren’s call all its own, so hard to ignore.

Those siren calls are hard to resist, but then so are the Highlands 🙂
