Computers – Weekend Writing Prompt

obsolete by c e ayr

A word prompt to get your creativity flowing this weekend.  How you use the prompt is up to you.  Write a piece of flash fiction, a poem, a chapter for your novel…anything you like.  Or take the challenge below – there are no prizes – it’s not a competition but rather a fun writing exercise.  If you want to share what you come up with, please leave a link to it in Sammi’s Comment Section

Computers

I stare at my laptop in mounting frustration.
I spent my entire working life in Information Technology.
Everything I ever learned is painfully obsolete.

My first serious job was with an IBM 1401 2nd generation m/c, before the 360.
It was bigger than a really big thing and faster that a really fast thing – we thought!
It was the first computer I had ever seen apart from on Doctor Who.
