A word prompt to get your creativity flowing this weekend. How you use the prompt is up to you. Write a piece of flash fiction, a poem, a chapter for your novel…anything you like. Or take the challenge below – there are no prizes – it’s not a competition but rather a fun writing exercise. If you want to share what you come up with, please leave a link to it in Sammi’s Comment Section

Computers
I stare at my laptop in mounting frustration.
I spent my entire working life in Information Technology.
Everything I ever learned is painfully obsolete.

I suppose I ought to say farewell to my abacus.
The latest technology changes so fast. Very frustrating.
I can remember when phones were for making calls.
Can you still do that? 😮 👍
“Everything I ever learned.” Oh, dear me. Enjoyed the voice and reading.
I heard you the first time!
Glad you enjoyed, Bill.
Right, that was a bit of an oops. Techy, ya know.
“Everything I ever learned.” Oh, dear me.
Laughing.
In terms of technology, that is.
Now my grandson is way smarter than me.
Ah, aren’t they all?
Dear CE,
Remember when a computer took up an entire room? Now you can hold it in your hand #oyvey #wellsaid
Shalom,
Rochelle
My first serious job was with an IBM 1401 2nd generation m/c, before the 360.
It was bigger than a really big thing and faster that a really fast thing – we thought!
It was the first computer I had ever seen apart from on Doctor Who.
