a life in the day

a life in the day

this morning
the sun shone
and it was hot and lasted forever
because I had so much to do
running learning and laughing

this afternoon
there was a mix
of blue sky and clouds
and the time flew by
because I had so much to do
working wedding and children

this evening
the sky is overcast
with cold winds and some rain
and time drags
because I have nothing to do
and no one to do it with

but I remember this morning
and I remember you

About ceayr

A Scot who has discovered peace in a small town he calls Medville on the Côte Vermeille, C.E. Ayr has spent a large part of his life in the West of Scotland and a large part elsewhere. His first job was selling programmes at his local football club and he has since tried 73 other career paths, the longest being in IT, with varying degrees of success. He is somewhat nomadic, fairly irresponsible and, according to his darling daughter, a bit random. So, nobody’s perfect.

Oh, this is simply beautiful and tugs at my heart quite a bit.

  3. Once again I’m lost in your words, both written and spoken. 😊

You sum life up beautifully – with the voice of each of the stages and the changing awarenesses of time… And memory.
    ‘The sun shone
and it was hot and lasted forever…’ – I love this, I can just see the child.
Excellent title, and brilliant GIF from the artwork.
