Tenacious
My favourite sport?
I guess tennis is.
Yes, tennis is, definitely.
No, I’m not athletic.
I’m tenacious.
Tennis is ideal for tenacious, unathletic dudes like me.
I’m actually not a bad player.
And I have a very strong service game.
I hold a club record.
One day I was really on fire.
I got into double figures with successive unreturnable serves.
And the admiring club members gave me my cool nickname.
Ten Aces.
“Ten Aces” sounds a lot like . . . “tenacious” — What a guy! And a perfect portrait too.
And ‘tennis is’ didn’t quite work, did it, Dora?
And thanks, I think Phil’s drawings are always on the button.
Haha, loved it. Of course, tennis became our national sport while we had Sir Andy at his best.

Wimbledon next? I’m more of a ping-pong kinda guy, though it is annoying when that silly little ball knocks my glass of wine off the table.
