Bark – Weekend Writing Prompt

mon ami Eros © c e ayr

A word prompt to get your creativity flowing this weekend.  How you use the prompt is up to you.  Write a piece of flash fiction, a poem, a chapter for your novel…anything you like.  Or take the challenge below – there are no prizes – it’s not a competition but rather a fun writing exercise.  If you want to share what you come up with, please leave a link to it in Sammi’s Comment Section
Click here to hear the author read his words:

I taught him to bark in Morse Code.
Well, S-O-S, actually.
For just such a contingency.
I have fallen again, broken about seventeen bones, including at least two legs.
I tell my intrepid watchdog to summon help.
He woof-woofs for three days.
Then he gets hungry.
So he starts to eat me.

  2. Annette Kalandros says:

Morse code and it was pointless! Laughing too!

  3. How sad, I’m really going to miss you 😒

  4. trishsplace says:

    So much to like.
At least 2 legs! Taught him to bark an SOS AND then he ate you?
    So clever😃

  5. Dear CE,

Waste not, want not. I guess people no longer recognize Morse Code. 😉 Laughing
