Tell Tale
He watches me with surprising confidence.
My hand trembles slightly.
The difference between triumph and disaster is marginal.
I breathe.
Either I split the apple or I shatter my son’s skull.
I wonder if the son would have had such confidence if he knew what was going on behind that calm facade.
I think quaking would have been more likely!
I’m told he went on to win Switzerland Has Talent.
And invented the cuckoo clock…
