Hey there, you’ve mentioned the hassle with my site but I’m not sure what you’re referring to, please explain.
I have to prove I’m not a robot each time, by ticking a box then identifying, from a selection of photos, cars, or boats, or trains, or whatever, sometimes two or three times.
Is it just me?
I have asked bloggers who comment on my site regularly as well as checked my site via different browsers/computers/phones. No one seems to be having this problem and I do not have captchas installed.
However, I did some searching and found this: CAPTCHA can be triggered by automated processes sometimes caused by worms, proxy search traffic going through infected computers or DSL routers, or from some SEO ranking tools. It can also be a result of suspicious activity from your IP address or the IP address range you’re part of. It advises to scan your computer for viruses and malware.
What browser are you using? Chrome seems to be bad for this type of problem and I sometimes get the captcha if I comment on too many sites within a short period of time.
