Click here to hear the poet read his words:
soul
when I look into your eyes
I am absorbed by their beauty
green and darkly sparkling
but I see something else
beyond the surface
and I remember why they’re called
the window to the soul
now I know nothing of such things
nothing of souls
I have no firm belief in any deity
but if there is such a being
when she created your eyes
she made a window that no glassmith
ever equalled
because what they show
is I guess what they call
a miracle
a depth of love
a reflection of time
an image of life itself
and I want to spend all eternity
purely enchanted
Another very romantic poem. I’ve got green eyes too, although mine are the kind that change with my mood and become golden or blue. ❤️

Always good to hear about you falling in love rather than terminating others with extreme prejudice (which can be a good thing, don’t get me wrong). Bravo,

Lovely to see you here again, Nancy, I thought you’d abandoned me.
And I’m not even surprised that you have green eyes, you are delightful in every possible way!

Abandon? Never! That is not my style, C.E. I’ve been at the mercy of WordPress, being held captive in their Spam Slammer and unable to comment on many posts. Just a frustrating glitch which they said was “unfixable” but I proved them wrong. 😉 If you take a look in your WP spam settings, you may find some of my errant comments. It’s a moot point now that the problem seems to be rectified and I am back in action!
Yes, they are indeed green! 💫 💚
