A word prompt to get your creativity flowing this weekend. How you use the prompt is up to you. Write a piece of flash fiction, a poem, a chapter for your novel…anything you like. Or take the challenge below – there are no prizes – it’s not a competition but rather a fun writing exercise. If you want to share what you come up with, please leave a link to it in Sammi’s Comment Section

Quite Big
She’s quite big now, isn’t she?
Yep.
I mean, she’s grown a lot since we got her, don’t you think?
Yep.
Do you think it’s because she eats so much?
Yep.
Her appetite is fairly gargantuan, isn’t it?
Yep.
Did you expect her to grow to be this huge, way back when?
Nope.
So you thought she’d be more sort of, let’s say, this size?
Yep.
There’s not much we can do about it now, is there?
Nope.
I mean, we have to keep feeding her, don’t we?
Yep.
So, what do you think she is?

A hungry Heffalumpillar ??? Only pink.
One of my former incarnations, dear lady!
She’s a Gargantula!
Jings, Mary, that sounds scary!
Nice one! I think she grew up to be AnElephantCant! Love the drawing
Amazing! How did you recognise AnElephant behind that mask?
I had similar thoughts about wife #3, then I realised she was preggers!
So how is wife #4 working out?
Please, Jeff, don’t encourage him, he might tell you…
Thrice bitten frice shy Jeff!
You are a gentleman of rare subtlety, Keith, I do admire your delicate use of language!
My diaphanousness is oft esteemed old bean.
It sounds like she’s eating them out of house and home. 😮
Well, Jo, the prompt word is Gargantuan!
Dear CE,
And they know it’s a she? A relative of Nessie perhaps?
Shalom,
Rochelle
Maybe, m’lady, they can tell from her sweet disposition!
I have no clue, but best to keep her happy!
Regardless of size, that’s my usual tactic, Iain!
Me think she’s a Godzilla. 😉
I don’t know, Na’ama, there aren’t many of those in Scotland
All the more reason they won’t know what they’re looking at … 😉
Laughing.
Fair point, Na’ama!
😀
