A word prompt to get your creativity flowing this weekend. How you use the prompt is up to you. Write a piece of flash fiction, a poem, a chapter for your novel…anything you like. Or take the challenge below – there are no prizes – it’s not a competition but rather a fun writing exercise. If you want to share what you come up with, please leave a link to it in Sammi’s Comment Section

Surprise
He’s bigger than me.
Much bigger.
He’s a better fighter too.
He’s had a zillion scraps and never lost.
Well, obviously, ‘cos he’s not dead.
All I have is the element of surprise.
And a wee bit rope.
And a stone.
I shout at him.
Hey, Goliath!
Yesss. David defeating Goliath will always be a classic. And it’s a template to defeating impossibilities in our lives.
Thank you!

Armed with faith and some stones, David won the day. Fun retelling of a favorite.

An enjoyably pithy retelling, I like David’s attitude.
