Smitten – Friday Fictioneers

Friday Fictioneers is hosted by the wonderful Rochelle, the undisputed master of what I call Sound Bite Fiction.
She sets the weekly challenge, the standard, and the prompt photo.
The idea, as always, is to write a story of around 100 words based on the picture below, which this week is supplied by the delightful but limping Susan Eames.

Smitten

Here she comes, punctual as ever.
I love watching her walk, her movement is almost languid, but she covers the ground quickly.
She makes me think of a gazelle, or maybe even a panther.
Her figure is slender but shapely in her nurse’s uniform.
And her smile as she approaches makes my heart leap.
Her eyes sparkle, her lips are slightly parted, she glows with the joy of being alive.
I feel the same today as I did the first time I saw her.
Utterly smitten, and happy just to be in the same world.
Tomorrow, definitely, I’ll say hello.

A well told event of smitten love. I am in two minds about this, her presence makes him fell good and is an aid to recovery, however if he gets better he will have to leave her company. Best say hello before its too late.
