Funeral

I’ve travelled twelve hundred miles to be here.
Most people are surprised to see me.
‘Thought you didn’t like her’ is the most common remark.
I shrug and agree.
She was easily the most asinine creature I ever met.
I never understood what he saw in her.
But they stayed married, raised a family.
We never spoke.
So why am I here?
I just want to see someone drive a stake into her heart.

So, you were not convinced of her demise? I’ve found that stake driving is best done by one’s self in order to ensure a proper job. 🙂 Nice, CE.

Just to see that last nail driven into her coffin ought to have been enough, but noooo, you wanted a stake driven into her heart too, eh? 🤣
