Bohemian Rhapsody by C. E. Ayr

A word prompt to get your creativity flowing this weekend. How you use the prompt is up to you. Write a piece of flash fiction, a poem, a chapter for your novel…anything you like. Or take the challenge below – there are no prizes – it’s not a competition but rather a fun writing exercise. Bohemian Rhapsody

I’m a pretty easy-going guy.
But I am slightly intolerant of folk who self-describe as ‘zany’.
They are too often sad, attention-seeking bores.
So when this moron starts on about how wacky and zany he is, ‘
I’m just crazy, me!’, I say nothing.
I pull a set of bagpipes from my inside pocket and launch into a jaunty version of
Bohemian Rhapsody.

  1. Love the nonchalance of the narrator. I heard that early clansmen got pipers to lead the way into battle to frighten the enemy with their blood curdling sound !
