Love Song
I have a tune in my head.
I know it is an old song, from the Sixties, I think.
And I know it is playing because of her.
The woman I love.
She is beautiful, the eyes, the smile, the hair.
And the legs.
Oh, those legs.
It was, for me, love at first sight.
That will never change.
But she has, I think.
She was sweet, caring, loving.
We did romantic things together, visited my homeland and hers.
But she has become more fractious.
She nags.
She drives me up the wall.
Now I remember the song.
Poison Ivy.

It sounds like many relationships, people start like they’re the cure or the healing you need and up to be toxic,in this case like poison Ivy. Love the song it’s pretty funny too. Hugs

Nice one. He needs to give it more time and he will build his immunity. Sensitivity to poison ivy tends to decline with age 😉

Well done, CE. The march of time can be cruel in so many ways and yet it can also be beautiful, having that accumulation of memories and experiences. Yet, I guess that goes into reverse with bad habits and they can grate all too quick as our patience runs out.
