Magic

And this ring is more powerful than any of these potions or lotions or …..?

Yes, it is the most potent piece of magic in the shop.

And how does it work exactly?

You just need her to put it on – look, it is very attractive, don’t you agree? – and say the magic word, then she will love you forever. It is totally irreversible.

And what is the magic word?

Let me write that down for you. Don’t want to do anything silly with this on!

How do you pronounce that?

Auchenshuggle.

Oh no!

Am I prettier than she is?

Dear Elephant, I really don’t feel sorry for him as his real love doesn’t love him and he tried to force the love with trickery. I’m glad that it backfired! Nan

Hilarious! Delightful! Serves both of them right for trying to trap some other innocent, unsuspecting person! A very nice piece of writing, Elephant.

Maybe she can hop on one foot and say the word backwards to reverse the spell. If he had my luck she would resemble a bull dog!

Lol. And he’ll live happily never after. Since it’s irreversible, he had better drink some of the potion himself now or life will be misery! At least then he’d be in love and think himself happy instead of having a lovesick conjurer after him for the rest of his days.

When the muse says… “Write me!” I don’t argue.
I could write for hours if I had the time…
Though I do get stuck if it goes on too long – I’ve not written any novels – yet.
        Mostly poetry, then Flash Fiction.
I’ve seen other folks post more than once – so I guess it’s OK.
I’ll play, writing – that is with anyone who asks…
        public or private.
